At Gîte Petite Florence, I respect your privacy and take the protection of your personal information seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information I collect, why I use it and how it is handled when you contact me or make a direct booking.

What information do I collect?
- your name;
- email address;
- telephone number;
- postal address, postcode, town/city and country;
- arrival and departure dates;
- number of adults and children included in the booking;
- booking reference;
- booking amount and payment status;
- information you provide in a message or enquiry.
I only collect information that is reasonably necessary to answer your enquiry, process your booking or manage your stay.
Why do I use your information?
- respond to questions and enquiries;
- process and administer your reservation;
- communicate with you before, during or after your stay;
- process and record payments;
- provide booking confirmations and invoices;
- comply with applicable legal, accounting and administrative obligations.
I do not sell your personal information or use it for unrelated advertising purposes.
Payments
Payments for direct bookings are processed securely by Stripe. Petite Florence does not receive or store your full payment card details. Payment information required to complete the transaction is processed by Stripe in accordance with its own privacy and security policies.
How long is your information kept?
Personal information is not kept longer than reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, unless a longer retention period is required by law. Contact enquiries are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to deal with the enquiry and any relevant follow-up communication. Booking information may be retained for the administration of your stay and afterwards where reasonably necessary for administrative, legal or dispute-related purposes. Invoices, payment records and other accounting information are retained for the period required under applicable French legal and accounting requirements.
Sharing of information
Your personal information is only shared with third parties where this is necessary to provide the service, process a payment or comply with a legal obligation. For example, payment information necessary to complete a direct booking is processed by Stripe. I do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
Cookies and external services
Petite Florence aims to keep the use of cookies and external tracking technologies to a minimum. Cookies or similar technologies that are technically necessary for the operation and security of the website or booking process may be used where required.
The location map displayed on the website is a static image hosted locally and does not connect visitors to an external map service. The website does not use advertising or marketing trackers in the Petite Florence theme or direct-booking plugin.
Your privacy rights
Under applicable data protection law, you may have the right to:
- ask what personal information I hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
- request deletion of your personal information where applicable;
- object to or request restriction of certain uses of your information;
- request a copy of your personal information.

Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may occasionally be updated, for example if the website, booking process or applicable requirements change. The date of the most recent version is shown at the top of this page.
